TRICIA BERLO

Tricia joined twelve women care in November of 2010. A long time resident of Scituate, she lives in the area we call Sand Hills, where she is prepared to “up and go” when the tides threaten to invade. It would be an understatement to say that Tricia has weathered more than one storm in her life. Yet, she always seems to know exactly what is important in life: humor, compassion, her girlfriends & family, and camping.

As a local pre-school teacher, Tricia has mastered the art of getting small people to do big, wonderful things (like sledding, baking, making mud pies, and being independent). Having raised her own three children, along with her husband, Tricia knows that successful parenting may simply be defined by how often your children return home to you as adults.

In 2006, Tricia’s niece, Andrea Gaziano, passed away at the age of fourteen from acute myelogenous leukemia. Whether she is walking 26 miles for the Jimmy Fund or supporting Andrea’s Art Auction, Tricia is forever connected to Andrea’s beautiful spirit. In memory of Andrea, and for Tricia’s first initiative with 12WC, we will be beautifying part of the Erdman Preschool playground with the help of local artists.
